My Guiding Beliefs and Values

1.  We’re always at choice.

Even the choice of not making a choice is a choice.  I’ve found I’m much more effective when I say “I choose to” vs. “I want to”, “I have to”, “I need to”.  When “I choose to” I’m in control and the one with power.  I can take stronger action from that position.

2.  We’re accountable and responsible for what we create in our lives.

We don’t believe we’re responsible for the things outside of our control, like hurricanes, tsunamis, death of a mate, Covid-19, etc., but we do believe we are always at choice regarding how we handle the situation. The difficult part is the transition.

3.  Our moods and emotions are predispositions for the actions we take.

We are accountable and responsible for creating the moods we choose to live our lives in. Which mood we’re in has a lot to with what action we can take. Again, we’re always at choice. Living in gratitude is a good mood choice.

4.  A Key Choice:  Live life in gratitude. Appreciate “Blessings”.

It’s much easier to do new things when we’re grateful for what we already have. Learning how to live in gratitude and honor our accomplishments is an important part of our life journey. I like thinking of “Blessings”.  My vision is these are “gifts” that come to me that I don’t have any control of like sunshine, rain, flowers, animals, trees, horses. These are things I can easily be grateful for.

5.  Creatively capitalize on our natural gifts and talents wherever they take us (where our values line up).

For me it’s turned out that my Life-Time Purpose is to serve others with my natural gifts and talents wherever they’ve taken me. You may enjoy my blog “Jack of All Trades” where I discovered this thinking.

6.  Trust is critical for success in relationships and business teams.  It’s imperative for high-performing organizations.

Understanding how to make and manage promises is critical to creating and maintaining trust.

7.  Living life being of Service is a very important choice.

It’s important for people to feel connected, valued, and appreciated. One of the most successful ways we fulfill this need is to choose a fulfilling purpose and be of service to others.

8.  Life-long learning is essential.

A commitment to Life-long learning is essential to remain flexible, adaptable and effectively deal with the many changes, expected and unexpected, that are will show up in our lives.  It’s very helpful to be curious.

9.  Learn how to “Ask for Help”.

A key lesson in my life journey has been learning how to ask for help in both my personal and professional life.  I learned that I didn’t have to have all the answers. In fact, I learned that I could move better and faster with help than without to solve a problem or issue, or capitalize on an opportunity….if only I could let go of my ego and ask for help!

10.  The business should work for you vs. you working for the business.

I work with individuals, business owners and entrepreneurs who choose to live fully engaged, fulfilled lives while creating their income.

Now that you have a better idea of my guiding beliefs and values I hope you’ll ask me to help you by creating a rich, supportive experience for you in your life journey.
